You are the person people build on. Granite forms slowly from magma that cooled deep underground over millions of years, locking quartz, feldspar and mica into an interlocking mass that shrugs off weather, weight and time. That is you: unhurried, consistent and much stronger than you let on.

Friends describe you as the one who shows up. You do not need the spotlight; you would rather be the countertop everyone gathers around than the centerpiece on it. When plans fall apart, you are the one still standing, usually with a practical fix already in hand.

Your strengths

  • Reliable under pressure
  • Long memory and long loyalty
  • Practical, grounded judgment

Watch out for

  • Slow to change course, even when the course is wrong
  • Can read as unemotional
  • Takes on more weight than anyone asked you to

How to tell real Granite at a glance

  • Color: Pink, Gray, White, Black. Look at a clean, dry surface in daylight. Color zoning, banding or spots are as diagnostic as the hue.
  • Luster: Vitreous. Fresh surfaces shine like glass; a dull surface usually means weathering, so chip or wet a corner.
  • Transparency: Opaque. Hold a thin edge up to a bright light and note whether light passes through.
  • Mohs hardness: 6.5. It scratches glass and a steel knife and cannot be scratched by a steel file.
