About Migmatite
Migmatite is a mixed metamorphic and igneous rock formed when high-grade metamorphism partially melts a parent rock, producing a composite of dark, unmelted metamorphic material called melanosome intermingled with lighter, once-molten igneous-looking bands called leucosome.
